UPDATE: The Oneida County Sheriff's Office responded to an address on Creekside Drive in the Town of Westmoreland for a missing person investigation yesterday October 27th around 6 PM. This morning after a search of the wooded area near the residence by the Sheriff's Office and the New York State Forest Rangers a deceased male was located. The medical examiner's office responded to the scene and the deceased male will be transported to their office for positive identification.

Due to the nature of this case, no further information will be released. There is no danger to the public.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by the NYS Forest Rangers and the Town of Westmoreland Fire Department.

At this time the Sheriff's Office does not suspect foul play.
