According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Vernon man was arrested after an investigation into a stalking complaint in Vernon. James W. Rydzeski, 33, of Vernon, is accused of engaging in a course of conduct against the victim over previous days including appearing at the victim's house, sending threatening messages, and leaving threatening voice mails on the victim's phone. While being taken into custody at his residence, Rydzeski was found to be in possession of a shotgun despite having been previously convicted of a felony. Rydzeski was charged with Stalking in the fourth degree, a class B misdemeanor, and Criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor. Rydzeski was brought to Oneida County Centralized Arraignment proceedings where he is awaiting arraignment.
