November 8th is the start of the third week of the Basic Corrections Academy.

Members of the Oneida County Sheriff's Office are joined by recruits from Herkimer County Sheriffs Department, Madison County Sheriff's Office - NY, Chenango Sheriff’s Office, and Cortland County Sheriff's Office.

This week's instruction will cover Effective Communication, Penal Law, Aerosol Subject Restraint Devices, Physical Fitness, Military Drill, Use of Force and Deadly Physical Force.
