According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Vernon man has been charged after he allegedly threatened his neighbors with a gun. Deputies were called to the Quiet Valley Trailer Park in Vernon at about 11:00 AM this morning to investigate the dispute which had originated between the neighbors over loose dogs in the park. The investigation determined that Daniel P. McCombie, 23, of Vernon had pointed a BB pistol at his neighbors and had threatened to shoot one of them. The BB pistol was recovered by Deputies and McCombie was charged with Menacing in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor, and Harassment in the second degree, a Violation. McCombie was brought to the Law Enforcement Building in Whitestown for processing and released on an appearance ticket returnable to Vernon Town Court on an upcoming date.
