According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol on December 8, 2021, the Sheriff's Office investigated a single vehicle crash on Route 365 in the Town of Verona in the early morning.

The crash occurred on Route 365 near Blackman's Corner Rd when a duel axle box truck traveling east swerved off the north shoulder of the roadway and overturned. The driver, Fonso Wires 54, of Davenport Iowa, was not injured in the accident. Mr. Wires was issued two citations, one for speed not reasonable and prudent for the road conditions and the other for moving from a lane unsafely. The box truck was towed from the scene by Rocker's Towing.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Verona Volunteer Fire Department throughout this incident.
