According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol; On 12/09/21 at about 3:15 PM, road patrol deputies responded to a single snowmobile accident on Dingle Road in the Town of Camden.

Following deputies investigation, it was determined that Steven Holzberger (26), of Camden, was operating a 1978 Arctic Cat Jaguar 3000 when the snowmobile had a mechanical malfunction and suffered a stuck throttle. Steven immediately attempted to unstick the throttle and power down the snowmobile, however, after unsuccessful attempts, Steven jumped from the moving snowmobile which resulted in his ankle being sucked into the moving track/ tunnel area of the snowmobile. Steven was evaluated on scene by Camden Fire Department and Camden Ambulance personnel before being transported via Camden Ambulance to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse with a deep laceration to his ankle. Steven's injuries do not appear life threatening.
