Oneida Herkimer Madison BOCES Incident

According to Oneida Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, on the 15th of December 2021 at approximately 1:30pm, the School Resource Officers were notified by School officials regarding a student having a reaction from smoking an unknown substance out of a vape pen.

Investigation found that a total of four students smoked from the vape pen and suffered reactions. Two of the students were transported by Edwards Ambulance to St. Luke’s for evaluation and a third Student was transported by Edwards Ambulance to St. Elizabeth’s for evaluation. The other student was medically signed off at the School by their parents.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by New York Mills Fire Department and Edwards Ambulance. Investigation into this incident is ongoing.
