Tonight, Sergeant Carey Phair was honored to represent the Oneida County Sheriff's Office as Ron Walker was added to the VVS Wall of Distinction.

Mr. Walker, a graduate of Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Schools in 1989, started his career in Law Enforcement with the Oneida County Sheriff's Office in the Corrections Division. After moving to Oklahoma he began a position with the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office.

Throughout his career, he received many awards and distinctions, including the Desert Snow Royal Night award in 2018, at that time he was only the 30th Police Officer in the United States to receive this award.
