According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, on Monday, January 17, 2022, two people were arrested stemming from an incident that took place on Christmas Eve of 2021.

During the early morning hours of Christmas Eve, two individuals damaged the Veteran’s Memorial at Freedom Park in the Village of Camden by smashing lights and other electrical equipment. The case was then turned over to the Criminal Investigation Unit due to the amount of damage to the memorial. Dominic Calderon-Walker (19) and Timothy Seamans (19) were identified as suspects in the case and they both turned themselves into the Investigators at the Sheriff’s Office on today’s date without incident. Calderon-Walker and Seamans were booked on the charge of Criminal Mischief in the 2nd degree (D Felony) and then brought to OCJ to await arraignment at CAP Court.

Freedom Park is a memorial that honors the brave heroes from Central New York who gave their lives for this country.
