According to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O'Meara, who is the Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a 21 year old Yorkville man, Mathew Rios has been arrested for exposing himself to a 13 year old female child.

During the evening of January 13, 2022, Utica City Police Department notified the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center regarding a report of Mathew Rios exposing himself to a 13 year old female child.

Utica Police Department Investigator Titus Ciccone, assigned to the Child Advocacy Center, conducted the investigation.

On January 21, 2022, Mathew was arrested by Investigator Titus Ciccone and Detective Alex Sypnewski of the Rome City Police Department, charging him with one count of Endangering the welfare of a child (A Misdemeanor). Rios was arraigned on the charge at Utica City Court, and was released on his own recognizance. An Order of Protection has been issued on behalf of the victim and services have been offered to the victim through the Child Advocacy Center.
