According to Oneida County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Derrick O'Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a 41 year old Utica man, Pripo Ampaimakun, has been arrested for subjecting two female children to actions likely to be injurious to the physical, mental, or moral welfare of a child less than seventeen years old.

In November of 2021, the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center received a report that two female children had been sexually abused.

Utica Police Department Investigator Titus Ciccone, assigned to the Child Advocacy Center, conducted the investigation.

During the course of the investigation, it was learned that these juvenile females were treated by Ampaimakun, in a manner causing them mental and emotional distress.

On January 25, 2022, Investigator Titus Ciccone, assisted by Investigator Ryan Kelly of the Child Advocacy Center, arrested Pripo Ampaimakun, in the city of Utica, charging him with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, (A Misdemeanors).

Ampaimakun is accused of pressuring the two children not to talk to personnel assigned to the Child Advocacy Center regarding the sexual abuse case.

Ampaimakun was not involved with the sexual abuse of the children.

Ampaimakun was processed and released at Utica City Court.

An Order of Protection was issued on behalf of the victims and services have been offered to the victims through the Child Advocacy Center.
