According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, A City of Rome man was arrested on 02/10/2022 after he was involved in a physical domestic dispute at his residence in the City of Rome.

Deputies responded to the home on 02/10/2022 at approximately 9:48 PM following the report of the domestic dispute to the 911 Center. After an investigation was completed it was determined that during the dispute, Christopher Hale, age 57 swung a kitchen knife at his wife causing a laceration to her hand. Hale was taken into custody and charged with Menacing in the second degree, Criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, and Harassment in the second degree. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and later released.

Hale was transported to the Oneida County Jail to await arraignment at the Central Arraignment Court.
