According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol a Deputy was injured while fighting with a suspect. Deputies were called to a house on Dix Road in Westmoreland around 11 PM on Wednesday night for a domestic dispute. Lloyd Rockhill, 55 of Westmoreland was involved in a domestic at his residence and while Deputies were attempting to place him in custody Rockhill fought with them causing a Deputy to sustain an injury to his hand. Once more Deputies arrived on scene they were able to place Rockhill in custody. Rockhill was charged with Harassment 2nd, a violation, menacing 3rd, Obstructing governmental administration, Resisting arrest all misdemeanors, and Assault 2nd- a class D Felony.

The Deputy was treated at the hospital for his injuries and was later released.

Rockhill was transported to the LEB for processing and was sent to OCJ to await arraignment in CAP Court.
