According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M.

According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol members of the Road Patrol Division responded to an address on Oneida Street in Verona to assist with a structure fire.

Multiple fire crews responded to the scene including, Sylvan Beach Fire Department, Durhamville Fire Department, Verona Fire Department, Canastota Fire Department. The Oneida County Cause and Origin responded along with the Sheriff’s Office Forensic Identification Unit and the Criminal Investigations Unit. None of the occupants of the residence were home at the time the Fire Departments arrived on the scene.

At this time the investigation is ongoing to determine what caused the fire to start.
