According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, Director of the Child Advocacy Center, a Registered Sex Offender has been charged for failing to register his change of address.

On April 19, 2022, Timothy Luczynski, a Level 3 Registered Sex Offender, was arrested and charged by Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Melissa Bolton for Failure to Register Change of Address-Prior Offense, a Class D Felony, under the NYS Corrections Law. The arrest was the result of an investigation commenced on April 11, 2022, when information was learned that Luczynski was not residing at the address that he had registered with the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS).

The NYS Sex Offender Registration Act requires registered sex offenders to notify DCJS of any change of address within ten calendar days. Luczynski was arraigned on April 19, 2022, at Oneida County CAP Court where he was subsequently held without bail.
