The Sheriff’s Office was happy to kick off our first NYS DEC Hunter’s Safety Course today since the announcement of our recent partnership with DEC.

Sheriff’s Sergeant Toby Lindfield, Sheriff’s Investigator Mark Chrysler, and DEC Master Instructor Ron Sutfin delivered the eight hour course to a classroom of new hunters. As the only law enforcement agency in our region partnering with DEC, it is our goal to help teach the sport of hunting to all those who wish to enjoy the great outdoors!
