Today, members of the Oneida County Sheriff's Office joined local and state leaders, along with first responders from across Oneida County at Better Together's Autism Awareness Listening and Learning event at the Redeemer Church.

Parents had the opportunity to speak and tell their personal experience and challenges of raising children with autism.

Retired Captain Jerry Turning from Blue Bridge Autism Training, was also in attendance and provided a key training to first responders and parents. Captain Turning is not only a decorated member of law enforcement but is a parent of a child with autism.

Thank you to Better Together and Oneida County Sheriff's Law Enforcement Foundation for sponsoring today's event!
