Earlier today, the Oneida County Sheriff's Office participated in a Mock DWI Crash at the VVS Central School District.

High School students had the opportunity to see the real dangers of impaired, and distracted driving.

To drive home the severity of the consequences of DWI, the exercise included a “fatality” and “serious injuries” to the passengers.

Thank you to the student actors, Volunteer Fire Company of Vernon, inc., Vernon Center Fire Department, Verona Fire Department, Sherrill-Kenwood Volunteer Fire Department, Vineall Ambulance, City of Sherrill Police Department, New York State Police, Ironside Funeral Home, Inc., and the VVS teachers and staff that made this event possible!
