According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol; On June 24, 2022, at about 0650 AM, Deputies responded to Stoney Brook Rd in the Town of Verona for a reported one car personal injury motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, Deputies determined that Montanna McCouliff (25), of Durhamville, NY, was operating a white 2012 Chevrolet Impala East on Stoney Brook Rd. Due to failure to keep right, McCouliff crossed the westbound lane of traffic and exited the Northern shoulder, striking a ditch with the front end of his vehicle before overturning and coming to rest on its roof.

McCouliff complained of ankle pain and had lacerations to his face and was transported to Oneida City Hospital by personal vehicle. McCouliff was issued citations for “Failure to keep right” and “No seatbelt” returnable to Verona Town Court at a later date.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on the scene by Verona Fire Department, Vineall Ambulance, and Oneida Indian Nation Police.
