According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, Oneida County Sheriff’s Deputies, Lee Center Fire Department, and AMCARE Ambulance responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident with injuries, on Lee Center-Taberg Rd in the Town of Lee on Saturday morning.

Lisabeth Iglesias, 59, from Rome, was Westbound on Lee Center Taberg Rd at around 9:40 am, operating a 2004 Buick Sedan. Iglesias approached a curve in the road, crossed the center line, and continued into the opposing lane, where Paul Taylor, 52, of Lee, was operating a 2018 GMC Sierra. Iglesias’ vehicle struck the back end of Taylor’s truck, forcing it off the road, where it rolled at least twice, coming to rest on its passenger side and entrapping Taylor.

Taylor was extricated from the vehicle by members of the Lee Center Fire Department, and transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital by AMCARE Ambulance Service.

Iglesias sustained minor injuries and was transported to Rome Memorial Hospital by AMCARE also. Iglesias was issued several citations for traffic infractions, returnable to the Town of Lee Court at a later date.
