According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, a man was arrested at the County Office Bldg in Utica for trespassing.

On August 9, 2022, at approximately 4:15 pm, deputies responded to a Centro Bus in the parking circle at the County Office Bldg. When deputies arrived, the bus driver advised them that a man, later identified as Eric Pinto, (no address given) had gotten on the bus and that was not supposed to. The bus was specifically for disabled persons who are scheduled to be on the bus and is not meant for public transportation. The bus driver asked Pinto several times to get off the bus and Pinto refused. Deputies advised Pinto that he needed to exit the bus as it was not for public transportation. A supervisor from Centro also showed up on scene and advised Pinto that he needed to exit the bus or she was going to have him arrested for trespassing. Pinto continued to refuse at which time Pinto was then arrested and struggled with deputies when they attempted to take him into custody. Pinto was removed from the bus without any further incident after being handcuffed. Pinto was charged with trespassing and resisting arrest. He was then taken to the Law Enforcement Building and turned over to CAP Court for arraignment.
