According to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O'Meara, who is the Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a Town of Marshall man has been arrested for violating an active Order of Protection.

In May of 2022, Oneida County Sheriff’s Investigator Mark R. Chrysler investigated a child sexual abuse report that resulted in the arrest of Jody A. Hartle Jr, age 37, who is currently incarcerated at the Oneida County Jail on the charges of Rape 1st, Rape 2nd, Rape 3rd, Criminal Sexual Act 2nd, Sexual Abuse 1st, Sexual Abuse 2nd, Sexual Abuse 3rd, Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Over the past several months, Investigator Chrysler developed information that Hartle had been communicating with a protected person in the case while incarcerated, which violated the Order of Protection that was in place.

Hartle was arraigned on the Criminal Contempt 2nd charge, a Class A Misdemeanor, in the Town of Whitestown Court on Thursday, August 8, 2022, and remanded back to the custody of the Oneida County Jail.
