According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, at approximately 9:15 am a threat was received by the Camden High School via telephone.

The Camden High School Administration notified the Special Patrol Officer on-scene, of the threat, and a response from the Sheriff's Office was initiated. The building was then cleared and deemed to be safe. Further investigation into the threat by an Investigator from the Sheriff's Office determined that the threat was not credible and that there were no means of carrying out the threat.

A juvenile who was identified as having made the threat was arrested and referred to Oneida County Family Court.
