According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, Road Patrol Deputies are currently on the scene of a motor vehicle accident involving a Town of Marshall Highway Department Dump Truck.

The driver of the dump truck was easterly on West Hill Road and forgot to lower the dump box on the truck prior to leaving a job site. Due to this several phone and/or cable wires in the area have been taken down. This also resulted in the dump truck tipping over onto its side.

At this time there have been no report of serious or life threatening injuries. West Hill Road, between Route 12b and Green Vedder Road, is closed.

The Sheriff's Office is being assisted on scene by members of the Deansboro FD, NYSDEC Spill Response Team, Clinton Collision, and Spectrum.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area as the roadway will be closed for some time as crews work to remove the dump truck and fix utility wires.

More details maybe released at a later time.
