On Thursday morning, Senator Griffo brought together several members of the State Assembly & Senate, along with local officials from Oneida & Madison Counties to again strongly urge the Governor and legislative majorities who control the state's government, to immediately take action to address public safety concerns felt by so many across our state caused by the failed bail reform.

Nearly every single Sheriff in New York State, including Sheriff Maciol, opposed bail reform since day one and they continue to do so today. Our communities are less safe because of it and one of the only ways that we are going to restore safety to our communities and to our people is to revisit this failed bail reform and to hold offenders accountable for their actions.
