According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, a 46 year old man was injured in a two car accident at the intersection of Higginsville Road and Yager Road in the Town of Verona.

As investigated and reported by Deputy Villarreal, on September 24, 2022, at about 6:30 PM, Keith Boylan, age 45, from the City of Oneida, was operating a 2017 Volvo Compact SUV easterly on Yager Road in the Town of Verona and failed to stop for a stop sign. As Boylan failed to stop and drove onto Higginsville Road, a 2004 Jeep SUV being operated by David Shaffer, age 66, from the City of Oneida, collided with the front end of Boylan's vehicle causing heavy damage to both vehicles and minor physical injury to his passenger Curtis Wilson.

Curtis Wilson was transported to Oneida Health Hospital by AmCare Ambulance for further evaluation to his hip. No other occupant was injured.

Boylan was issued traffic summons returnable to the Town of Verona Court at a later date.
