According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, a two car motor vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of State Route 26 and Stokes Westernville Rd., in the Town of Lee.

On 29 October 2022 at about 6:44PM, Brian M. Dehart, 42 years old of Watertown was traveling Northbound on State Route 26 in his 2005 Landrover, when a 2015 Kia being driven by Matthew K. Moor, 23 years old, of Baldwinsville, pulled in front of Dehart's vehicle from Stokes Westernville Rd. Moor saw Dehart's Landrover and stopped in the intersection. Dehart turned to the right, behind Moor's Kia to avoid a collision with Moor's vehicle.

Dehart's Landrover traveled off the North side of Stokes Westernville Rd., and drove in between a 2011 Kia that was parked and the steps of a porch located at 9144 State Route 26. The passenger side of Dehart's Landrover struck the passenger side front of the parked 2011 Kia and the driver's side of Dehart's Landrover struck the steps of the porch of the residence located at 9144 State Route 26.

A juvenile passenger that was in Dehart's vehicle was transported to Rome Memorial hospital via AmCare ambulance for evaluation for a minor injury.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Lee Center Fire Department.
