According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on January 11, 2023, at approximately 11:13 hours deputies responded to the area of State Route 28, in the Town of Forestport for a reported single motor vehicle personal injury accident.

Upon arrival, Deputies determined that Michael R. Beadling of Remsen, was operating a 2016 ford fusion when she lost control of her vehicle, exiting the roadway and striking a utility pole. The driver was evaluated on scene and transported to St Elizabeths for non life threatening injuries. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Deputies were assisted by Otter Lake Fire Department and Old Forge Ambulance.
