ccording to Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Utica man was arrested on drug charges at the Oneida County Office Building.

Nickie Woods 50, of Gray St Utica, was arrested at the Sheriffs Security Check point upon entering the Oneida County Office Building yesterday afternoon.

Woods inadvertently produced a tied off balloon containing a white powder substance that he identified as containing cocaine upon producing the balloon in the property collection bin at the check point. Woods attempted to deceive Deputies by quickly retrieving the balloon and denying its existence. Deputies retrieved the balloon from Wood's person and he was issued an appearance ticket for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class A misdemeanor returnable to Utica City Court.
