It is regents week at Madison-Oneida BOCES in Verona and in the Bright Futures Academy and Career Development Academy schools, only high school students who are taking exams are in attendance.

This provides an excellent opportunity for OCSO School Resource Officer Deputy Aaron Avard and Special Patrol Officer Ed Demo to spend time with some of the elementary students at BOCES.

Shown here is Tommy Wyant III of Ms. Scherz's elementary class with a replica police duty belt made just for Tommy by Deputy Avard and SPO Demo to thank him for his consistent and enthusiastic support of the police. Tommy's belt is equipped with a replica badge, a replica radio with holder, an actual case with gloves in it and some replica handcuffs. Way to go everyone!
