According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on February 10, 2023, at approximately 12:01 am an adult female sustained minor injuries after a personal injury motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of State Route 31 and State Route 365 in the Town of Verona.

Kaitlyn Vasquez age 29 of Cicero, operating a 2015 Hyundai was traveling Westbound on State Route 31 in the Town of Verona when she failed to stop at a red signal at the intersection of Route 31 and Route 365 and struck a 2014 Nissan operated by Robin Kemp age 33 of Verona, traveling Southbound on Route 365. Vasquez was transported to St. Elizabeth's Hospital for shoulder and wrist pain. Kemp was evaluated on scene and released.

Vasquez was issued a traffic citation for failure to stop at a steady red signal returnable to Verona Town Court at a later date and time.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by New York State Police, Oneida Nation Police, Vineall Ambulance and the Verona Fire Department.
