According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on February 18th, 2023, at approximately 1230am, deputies responded to the area of Shed Road, in the Town of Westmoreland for a domestic dispute.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Craig Van Hatten, age 47, of Marcy, violated a court order of protection, issued on behalf of the victim by punching the victim during the course of the domestic, which caused the order to be violated. Van Hatten was arrested for Criminal Contempt 1st, a Class E Felony, and Harassment 2nd, a Violation.

Van Hatten was processed at the Law Enforcement Building, and turned over to Oneida County Correctional Facility, pending arraignment at Central Arraignment Court on February 18th.
