According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, one person was sent to the hospital following a three car MVA on St Rt 13, near Woodside Dr. in Camden.

Deputies arrived on scene shortly after 2:00PM on February 25th. Investigation into the incident determined Corey Basile was operating a gray Dodge pick-up truck in a northerly direction on St Rt 13, when the vehicle in front of him applied the brakes. Basile attempted to avoid the vehicle and swerved into the opposite lane of travel, striking a blue Chevy sedan, operated by Barbara Kinney, who was traveling in a southerly direction on St Rt 13. A third vehicle, that being a gray GMC SUV operated by Ernest Megerell, was also traveling in a southerly direction on St Rt 13 behind Kinney. Megerell attempted to avoid the two involved vehicles by applying the brakes. Due to the slippery road conditions, Megerell was unable to stop and swerved off the roadway to prevent striking the two involved vehicles, subsequently striking a tree.

Once Fire and EMS arrived on scene, Kinney had to be extricated from her vehicle and was subsequently transported to St. Elizabeth's hospital via ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries.

Basile and two passengers riding with him signed off further treatment. Megerell and a passenger were uninjured.

Sheriff's Deputies were assisted on scene by Camden Fire, Camden Ambulance, North Shore Ambulance, Camden PD, New York State Police, The Shop, and Camden Collision.
