The 2023 State Winter Games for Special Olympics New York recently took place in Syracuse.

Last Friday, Sergeant Sorrentino and Deputy Kistner joined Law Enforcement from across New York for the Opening Ceremonies. The ceremonies included a parade of Athletes, as well as, the Olympic Torch and lighting of the Olympic Cauldron.

Athletes competed in Snowshoeing, Figure Skating, Floor Hockey, Snowboarding, Cross Country, and Alpine Skiing.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE ATHLETES.

A special congratulations goes out to our local athlete and supporter of all Law Enforcement, Lauren Marraffa as she received a Gold Metal in Figure Skating. Great job Lauren!
