According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, at approximately 3:40 pm on the 3rd of April 2023, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the VVS Central School District Administration regarding an incident at JD George Elementary School.

It was reported that an Elementary School Student brought a pocket knife to the school and made threatening statements.

The incident was investigated by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division and in accordance with New York State’s Juvenile Laws due to the age of the juvenile no charges could be pursued.

The VVS Central School District will take action in response to the incident in accordance with District Policies and their Student Code of Conduct.
