According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on April 14, 2023, at approximately 3:58P.M. Deputies responded to a two car personal injury motor vehicle accident that occurred on State Route 365, in the Town of Floyd.

Deputies determined that Jacqueline Burke, age 56, from Rome, New York, was traveling east on State Route 365 in a 2020 Nissan Rogue when she collided with a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Paul Buzzell, age 54, of Huntington, Vermont, who was traveling west on Route 365.

The Floyd Fire Department, Kunkel Ambulance, and AmCare Ambulance responded to the scene, and Burke, Buzzel, and his passenger were transported to St. Elizabeth's Hospital. None of the injuries appeared life threatening at this time.

Deputies determined that Burke was at fault for the accident and was issued several UTT's returnable to the Town of Floyd Court at a later date.
