According to the Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, a Utica woman was arrested on several charges following an investigation into a domestic dispute that occurred in the outer district of Rome.

On April 26th, 2023, Deputies arrested Shelly L. Wilkes, 40, for three counts of Criminal Contempt 1st degree a class E Felony, one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child a class A Misdemeanor, one count of Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree a class A Misdemeanor, and three counts of Harassment 2nd degree a violation for a domestic incident that occurred on April 26th, 2023 in the outer district of Rome. Wilkes was transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building for processing, and was remanded to the County Jail.

Orders of protection for the victims were issued accordingly.
