Today, Sergeant Morgan attended the New York State Sheriffs' Institute’s 16th Annual Statewide Conference on Victim Notification.

Sheriff’s office members and Victim Advocates from across New York State including Kelsey Beach - Domestic Violence Lead Advocate, and Melissa Brunnett - Assistant Director of Crisis Sevices from the YWCA Mohawk Valley. Topics covered included New York State Sheriffs' Institute Victim Notification Services Inmate Release Program (VINE), Order of Protection Notification, Stalking, and Domestic Violence. The keynote speaker at today's event was Ashley Bendiksen.

This training event coincides with National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.
