On April 27, 2023, at about 1150am, the Utica Fire Department responded to the Oneida County Office Building for a fire alarm activation.

Upon investigation by Fire Department personnel and Deputies assigned to the Sheriff's Security Unit, the cause of the alarm, was determined to be a malfunction on the seventh floor.

At no time, were the public or employees in any danger.
