Earlier today, the Oneida County Sheriff's Office joined the Waterville Volunteer Fire Department, Oriskany Falls Fire Department, Barton Hose Company (Deansboro), North Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department, Mercy Flight Central, Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Oneida County STOP-DWI Program, and Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Homes, Inc. in a Mock DWI Crash at Waterville Central School District.

High School students had the opportunity to see the real dangers of impaired, and distracted driving.

To drive home the severity of the consequences of DWI, the exercise included a “fatality” and “serious injuries” to the passengers.
