This morning, the Sheriff’s Office joined the New York State Police, Oneida County Emergency Services, Oneida County STOP DWI, City of Utica, NY Police Department, Utica Fire Department, Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., LifeNet NY 7-14 Oneida, Village Motors, Kevin Copeland, Town Justice, Todd Carville from Oneida County (NY) District Attorney's Office, Oneida County Executive Anthony J Picente Jr, The City of Utica, Mayor Robert Palmieri, along with community partners at Notre Dame Junior/Senior High School for a mock DWI fatal crash, mock arraignment, and mock funeral.

The event was in effort to inform students of the dangers of impaired and distracted driving.
