According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Utica man was arrested after damaging a kiosk servicing the Oneida County Department of Family and Community Services.

Even Charles 45, while seeking services on the first floor of the Oneida County Office Building, intentionally punched the screen of an electronic services kiosk in the presence of Deputies causing the screen to become dislodged from its’ cabinet.

Charles, was subsequently transported to the Sheriff's Law Enforcement Building for processing and released on an appearance ticket, re-tunable in Utica City Court. He was charged by Deputies assigned to the Security Unit with Criminal Mischief and Criminal Tampering, both misdemeanors.

In addition, Charles was found to also have three outstanding misdemeanor warrants out of the City of Rome. He was turned over to the Sheriff’s Warrants Unit and was arraigned in Rome City Court and was released as a result of bail reform laws.
