Earlier today, the Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard Unit was truly honored to be part of the annual Flag Day Ceremony co-hosted by the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks of the USA Utica Lodge #33.

Also co-hosted by the CNY Chapter 490 Military Order of the Purple Heart of the USA, this important ceremony pays homage to our flag and honors our veterans who served this great country and their families.

Special acknowledgments were also presented to 101 year-old U.S. Navy and World War II veteran Stan Potrzeba and posthumously to U.S Army Sgt. Major Jack A. Reising who passed away this year.
