According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Marcy man was arrested on numerous charges following the report of a domestic incident that occurred in the Town of Marcy.

On July 2nd, 2023, at about 9:30 AM, deputies responded to an address on River Rd in the Town of Marcy, for the report of a domestic incident. Following an investigation, Matthew A. Sypolt (29) of Marcy, was charged with strangulation in the second degree, a class D felony, endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor, menacing in the third degree, a class B misdemeanor, and harassment in the second degree, a violation.

Sypolt was transported to the Law Enforcement Building, where he was processed and turned over to Oneida County Jail to await arraignment.
