According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Rome man was sent to the hospital following a single vehicle motor vehicle accident, that occurred near the intersection of Sutliff Rd and St Rt 233 in Whitestown.

Sheriff's Deputies responded to the incident around 01:15AM on July 22nd, and determined Kyle Tuzzolino, 25, of Rome, was operating a 2021 Jeep Compass in a westerly direction on Sutliff Rd, when he exited the northern shoulder after failing to negotiate a curve. Tuzzolino continued straight and crossed St Rt 233, before striking a ditch head-on, on the western shoulder of St Rt 233. The vehicle then became airborne and struck a residence, before coming to a rest overturned.

Tuzzolino, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was extricated by Deputies and EMS personnel. Tuzzolino was transported to St. Elizabeth's Hospital by Central Oneida County Ambulance, with non-life-threatening injuries. The occupant of the residence was not injured. No tickets have been issued at this time as the incident is still under investigation.

Deputies were assisted on scene by Stanwix Heights Fire Department, Oriskany Fire Department, Central Oneida County Ambulance, Whitestown PD, New York State Police, and Riolo's Towing.
