According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol; A Rome man was arrested after an investigation into a domestic that occurred in the Town of Floyd.

On July 23, 2023, James Hayes, 33, was arrested on charges related to a domestic incident that occurred in the afternoon of July 23, 2023.

Upon completion of the investigation of the domestic, James Hayes was arrested and charged with Criminal Contempt 1st a class E Felony, and Aggravated Harassment 2nd a class A Misdemeanor.

James Hayes was transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building for processing and was held pending arraignment at the Oneida County Central Arraignment Court.
