According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Rome man was arrested following a DWI Investigation on Mill Street in the City of Rome.

On 09/01/2023 shortly before 8:15 pm, Deputies conducted a Traffic Stop on Mill Street in the City of Rome. Subsequent to an investigation, Thomas Hudson, age 19, of Rome was arrested and charged with multiple NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law felonies/ misdemeanors/ violations, as well as NYS Penal Law misdemeanors. Deputies determined that Hudson was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with two underage children (Ages 13 and 14) as passengers inside the vehicle. Hudson was ultimately charged with Driving While Intoxicated, (2) counts of Felony DWI "Leandra's Law" (passengers less than 15 in the vehicle) a Class E Felony, one count of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st a Class E Felony, (2) counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child a Class A Misdemeanor, three separate Vehicle & Traffic Law Misdemeanors, and six Traffic Violations.

Hudson was transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building for processing, where he was ultimately held at the County Jail pending arraignment.
