According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol deputies with the Road Patrol division responded to a burglary complaint on Donley Road in the Town of Bridgewater on August 8th, 2023. During the course of the burglary, two ATV’s were stolen from an enclosed garage. The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigation Unit to investigate. On Friday, September 8th Joel Barney, 30 of Leonardsville was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th, a class E Felony. Mr. Barney was issued an appearance ticket and given a court date in the Town of Bridgewater later this month. During the investigation, both ATV’s were recovered and turned back over to the owners.
