According to Sheriff Robert Maciol on September 11, 2023, Deputies began an investigation into a missing juvenile case.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing/possible run-away juvenile by the name of Charity Morey (16). Charity was last seen leaving Waterville High School at 381 Madison Street in the Village of Waterville at approximately 2:57 PM on September 11, 2023, where she was supposed to get on a school bus.

Around 3:18 PM when she did not get off the bus at her Grandmother’s house in Oriskany Falls, the grandmother immediately called the school and then 911 when she could not be located. After watching security footage, Charity is seen walking past the school buses parked in front of the school and across the street where she is then seen possibly entering a small Black SUV or Hatchback vehicle. Charity has been known to run away from home or not return home from school.
