October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office has partnered with the YWCA Mohawk Valley for 31 Days of Domestic Violence facts.

10/3 - Domestic violence is cyclical. All abusers use similar ways to get what they want and keep power and control. Abusers can be charming, sweet and apologetic one minute and abusive the next. Sometimes survivors describe the abuser as having a “Jekyll/Hyde personality.”
